My class and I and in the Manaiakalani movie festival and every year they invite to schools to the movie theater in Sylvia Park, also making movies of our own and letting other schools see our movies to see what the schools maybe thinking what other schools work on at school. Difference kind of schools that do different learning to us. The pictures in my poster describes what St Pius X school in room 5 movie is about!

Putiputi

Steps to make Putiputi

1.Cut a piece of harake ke (flax)

2.Split The leaf down the middle until the hard stalk

3.Split each half into ‘’3’’ even stirips.

4.Take the One outside sprip and fold it

5.Take outside sprip, fold it at a right angle and weave it
under and over the other strips 6. When you finish weaving
all the strips, turn weaving 90% and begin weaving again.

7.Keep turning and weaving until you have only short strips left.

8.The pattern the strips through to the back.

9.Hold onto the front woven piece and turn it to make a spiral

10.When you are happy with your putiputi shape, tie the back
sprips at tightening in a knot.

11.Cut the stalk shorter if needed.

It is kind of different because it was my first time making this
and I learned a lot of things!

Last Friday the year six's were learning about Religious Education and what the (WALT is about). What I learned and loved about this one is how this activity we had to connected lines to make a senses.
